How to merge multiple PDFs into one (free, in 30 seconds)

Combine invoices, scans, contracts or chapters into a single PDF — without installing software.

Merging PDFs is the single most common reason people search for "PDF tools". Here's the fastest workflow.

The 4-step workflow

  1. Open the Merge PDF tool.
  2. Drag and drop two or more PDFs into the upload area (any order — you'll reorder next).
  3. Drag pages or files to the order you want.
  4. Click Merge. Download starts automatically.

Tips for clean output

  • Name files in advance (1_intro.pdf, 2_chapter.pdf...) for predictable order.
  • If sizes differ wildly, use Compress on big files first — your final merge will be smaller.
  • Need to extract specific pages from a 200-page report before merging? Use Split PDF first.

Free vs paid: when do you actually need paid software?

For straight merging, free tools work fine — there's no quality loss because PDFs aren't re-encoded, they're just stitched. Pay only if you need batch automation, OCR + merge, or enterprise compliance.
